The Board accredits facilities, which meet its standards in order to give assurance that such facilities will provide the highest quality of patient care and services. To give public recognition to Orthotic and/or Prosthetic facilities that maintain the highest standards of professional competency and service, as verified by their display of this Board's certificate and listing in its official annual REGISTRY. To ascertain that the physical environment and working conditions meet acceptable standards by minimizing health and safety hazards. Basic Requirements For Facility AccreditationThe Board awards national accreditation to facilities that:
Facility accreditation must be renewed every five years where a year is defined as a 12 month period from the first day of May 1st and ending on the last day of April. A complete application must be submitted for facility re-accreditation. Failure to maintain these requirements may result in suspension of facility accreditation by the Board.
