CBCPO Accreditation of the clinical prosthetic/orthotic education programs in Canada serves to ensure a high and uniform national standard of education for the graduates of all the Canadian Orthotics/Prosthetics Schools and to acceptance of the graduates as part of the health care team. The goal of school accreditation would be to provide a basis for acceptance of the graduates into advanced academic programs in research, education and administration, and maintain the highest level of patient care in orthotic/prosthetic practice.
